Getting There
Bus C31 or C32 from Plaza Nueva, or a steep walk up from the Carrera del Darro.

Why Go

The quarter keeps the street plan of Muslim Granada, a UNESCO site with the Alhambra, and its carmenes, walled villas with gardens, hide behind the walls. Churches stand on the sites of old mosques.

At sunset, crowds gather at the Mirador de San Nicolás to watch the Alhambra turn red against the mountains.
