Why Go

The quarter grew within the walls of Roman Barcino, and you can still see their towers and the columns of a temple of Augustus. The royal Plaça del Rei and the quiet Plaça de Sant Felip Neri are among its loveliest corners.

Its lanes fill with bars and street musicians at night.
