Why Go

La Rambla runs for more than a kilometer down to the Columbus Monument by the port. Halfway down, the Boqueria market's stalls are heaped with fruit, ham, seafood and sweets, with little counters cooking lunch.

The opera house, the Liceu, and Gaudí's Palau Güell are along the way.
