- About 10 minutes by bus from Berchtesgaden station.
Why Go
Only electric boats have been allowed on the lake since 1909. Halfway along, the boatman stops below the Echo Wall to play a trumpet tune that bounces back from the cliffs. In summer, boats continue to Salet, where a short walk leads to the Obersee and Germany's highest waterfall.
Tips
- Sit on the right going out for the best views and the Echo Wall.
