Why Go
Built for the 1896 millennium of the Magyar conquest, the colonnade holds statues of chieftains and kings around a tall column. Behind it, City Park has Vajdahunyad Castle, a lake that becomes an ice rink in winter, and new museums.
The Széchenyi Baths are at the park's far side.
