Why Go

Finished in 1904, the building runs for about 270 meters along the river, its spires and dome reflected in the water. Guided tours visit the gilded staircase, the domed hall where the Holy Crown is guarded and the old upper chamber.

It's at its most spectacular lit up at night, seen from the Buda bank.
