- The cable car station is at the south end of town.
Why Go
Two stages of cable car climb more than 2,800 meters from the town in about 20 minutes. At the top, terraces look across to Mont Blanc and over the glaciers, and a glass box, the Step into the Void, hangs over a 1,000-meter drop. In summer, a gondola crosses the glaciers to Pointe Helbronner on the Italian border.

- Take the first cars of the morning, before clouds build up and queues grow.
