Getting There
Boats leave Kissamos port, about 50 minutes by car west of Chania. By car, a rough track ends with a 20-minute walk down to the lagoon.

Why Go

The shallow water shades from white to deep blue between the peninsula and a rocky islet. Most people come on the boats from Kissamos, which also stop at Imeri Gramvousa, an island crowned by a Venetian fortress that later became a pirates' den.
