Getting There
At Charlotte Douglas Airport, about 15 minutes by car west of Uptown.

US Airways Flight 1549, bound for Charlotte, lost both engines to a flock of geese. The plane finally made it here as the centerpiece of a museum renamed for the pilot, which reopened in a new building in 2024 with dozens of aircraft.
