Getting There
A 20-minute walk from Nyhavn along the harbor, or bus 27.

Why Go

Unveiled in 1913, the statue is smaller than most people expect, and it's been beheaded and painted by vandals more than once.

The walk there runs past Kastellet, a 17th-century star fort with grassy ramparts.
