Why Go
Henry Ford collected American history on a huge scale. The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation holds Lincoln's chair from Ford's Theatre, the Wright brothers' bicycle shop and the Rosa Parks bus, which you can sit in. Greenfield Village brings together Edison's Menlo Park laboratory, Noah Webster's house and working Model T rides.
Tips
- Allow a day for the museum and village; the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, by bus from the museum, needs another half day.
