Why Go

The Portuguese built it after a treaty with the Sultan of Gujarat, and it withstood long sieges. Walls and bastions run along the sea on one side and a tidal moat on the other, and rusting cannons still point out to sea.

Climb the lighthouse end for the view of the town and Panikota, the small sea fort in the harbor.
