Getting There
About 45 minutes by ferry from Sørvágur; seas are often too rough to land, so keep a spare day.

Why Go

The island's single village sits above the landing, and a cliff path climbs past slopes riddled with puffin burrows to a footbridge over a sea gorge and on to the lighthouse on the islet of Mykineshólmur. Puffins nest from May to August, with gannets on the cliffs nearby.
