Getting There
About 30 minutes by train from Gdańsk Główny to Malbork, then a 15-minute walk.

Why Go

The Teutonic Order began the castle in the 13th century and made it their headquarters in 1309, building it out into a vast fortified monastery of three castles. Badly damaged in 1945, it has been carefully restored, and the audio-guided route leads through chapels, great halls and courtyards. It is a World Heritage Site.
