Why Go
The canyon here is about 10 miles wide and a mile deep. Yavapai Geology Museum, a 25-minute walk along the rim, explains how nearly 2 billion years of rock came to be exposed.
Tips
- The rim has few railings, and people die here. Stay on the trails.
