Full Guide

Victor Hugo's home in exile, decorated by the writer himself, with a glass lookout over the sea.
Hugo lived here from 1856 to 1870, and wrote much of Les Misérables in the rooftop lookout, from which he could see France on clear days. He designed the rooms himself, with dark carved woods, tapestries and porcelain. The house belongs to the City of Paris.
