Isle Royale National Park

Michigan

A wild island in Lake Superior with moose and wolves, reached only by boat or seaplane. One of the least visited parks.

This roadless island is famous for the world's longest-running study of predators and prey, of wolves and moose. Backpackers walk the 40-mile Greenstone Ridge, and paddlers thread the coves. Rock Harbor has a small lodge.
