Why Go

Finished around 1734, its 19 giant instruments measure time, track the stars and predict eclipses. The largest sundial still tells local time to within seconds.

A guide makes this far more interesting, since the instruments are hard to read on your own.

Tips

  • Go early or late, since there's little shade.
