Why Go
The old road from Kotor climbs in 25 hairpins, with ever wider views over the bay. Near the top, 461 steps lead through a tunnel to the mausoleum of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, Montenegro's poet-prince, and a viewpoint over much of the country. The mountain is a national park, and the road goes on to Cetinje, the old royal capital.
