Why Go

The Scaliger Castle of the 13th century guards the entrance to the old town, with a fortified harbor inside its walls. At the end of the peninsula, the Grottoes of Catullus are the ruins of a vast Roman villa among olive trees.

Thermal springs rise from the lakebed off the point, feeding the town's spas.
