Why Go

A castle has stood on the hill since the Middle Ages; most of what you see dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. Its courtyard is free to enter, and a ticket covers the lookout tower, the chapel and an exhibition on Slovenian history.

On clear days the view from the tower reaches the peaks of the Kamnik Alps and Mount Triglav.
