Why Go

The truss bridge, built in 1895, reopened for walkers and cyclists in 2013. It's about half a mile across to Jeffersonville, Indiana, where there are ice-cream shops and restaurants. Waterfront Park, on the Louisville side, has lawns, playgrounds and festival grounds.
