Why Go

The Quadracci Pavilion, opened in 2001, became the symbol of the city. The Burke Brise Soleil opens when the museum does and flaps at midday. Inside are some 25,000 works, with strong collections of German Expressionists, Georgia O'Keeffe, who was born in Wisconsin, and folk art.

Tips

  • Be outside at noon to watch the wings flap.
