Why Go
The first flight lasted 12 seconds and covered 120 feet. The longest that day went 852 feet. The reconstructed sheds, a replica Flyer and the granite pylon on Big Kill Devil Hill all tell the story.
They chose this spot for its steady wind and soft sand.
