Why Go

The nation gave the estate to the Duke of Marlborough for his victory at Blenheim in 1704, and John Vanbrugh designed the palace, finished in the 1720s. Winston Churchill was born here in 1874. Capability Brown shaped the park around a great lake, and the palace is a UNESCO site.
