Why Go

The square has seen the city's great moments: the protests of 1968, the student Jan Palach's self-immolation in 1969, and the rallies of 1989 that ended communism. The statue of St. Wenceslas stands at its top, before the National Museum.

Today it's a shopping boulevard.
