Rincón

Puerto Rico

The Caribbean's great surf town, on the island's west coast, with winter waves, whale-watching and famous sunsets.

Rincón became a surfing capital after the 1968 World Championships here. In winter, big Atlantic swells hit Domes and Maria's, and humpback whales pass offshore.

It's relaxed and friendly, with lots of expats and small beach bars, and a sunset view that draws everyone to the shore.
