Why Go

Pioneers spent 40 years building the six-spired temple, finished in 1893. The Tabernacle, with its famous organ and acoustics, is home to the Tabernacle Choir, whose Thursday rehearsals and Sunday broadcast are open to the public. The temple itself is open only to church members, except during open houses.

Tips

  • The Christmas lights on Temple Square, from late November, are a city tradition.
