Why Go
The sunniest neighborhood in the city grew up around Mission San Francisco de Asís (Mission Dolores), founded in 1776; its adobe chapel is the oldest intact building in San Francisco. Balmy Alley and Clarion Alley are covered in murals on Latin American and social themes, and Dolores Park is the city's favorite lawn on a sunny day. Try a Mission-style burrito.
