A 10-minute walk up from the old town's main square.

Why Go

The Guaita, the oldest, dates from the 11th century; the Cesta, on the highest point at 750 meters, holds a museum of old weapons; the little Montale can only be seen from outside. The towers appear on the republic's flag and coat of arms.

The Passo delle Streghe, the 'witches' path', runs between the first two along the edge of the cliff.
