The great granite square in front of the cathedral, where pilgrims end their walk.
Four grand buildings frame the square: the cathedral, the Hostal dos Reis Católicos, built in 1499 as a hospital for pilgrims, the Pazo de Raxoi, now the town hall, and the university's College of San Xerome. All day, walkers arrive with their packs and lie down on the stones to take in the facade.
