Why Go
After the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, the city rebuilt its streets a story higher, leaving the old ground floors underground. Bill Speidel's Underground Tour explores them with plenty of humor. Above ground, Pioneer Square has Romanesque brick buildings and galleries.
