Why Go
The government's 'Skopje 2014' project filled the center with statues, fountains and new classical buildings; the 'Warrior on a Horse', a thinly veiled Alexander the Great, rises 22 meters over the square. The 15th-century Stone Bridge, the city's symbol, crosses the Vardar to the bazaar.
