Why Go

Founded in 1909, the park stretches from Lake Torneträsk to the U-shaped valley of Lapporten, the gate to Lapland. The mountains around it keep a patch of sky clear more often than almost anywhere in the region, and a chairlift climbs Mount Nuolja to the Aurora Sky Station for watching the lights. The long Kungsleden trail begins here.
