Why Go
Built from 1909 to 1912, the church has a Gothic exterior shaped like a Sámi kåta and a bright Art Nouveau altarpiece. As the mine undermined the old town, it was lifted onto trailers and driven 3.1 miles east to the new center over two days in August 2025.
