Why Go
It stands on a hill in the centre of town, inside a huge stone wall with gopurams on all four sides. The ground around it, known as Thekkinkadu, hosts the Pooram each April or May.
Tips
- Only Hindus may enter; men usually wear a mundu without a shirt.
