Why Go

From the 9th to the 11th century, the Republic of Amalfi was one of the great trading powers of the Mediterranean. Its cathedral of St. Andrew, with a black-and-white striped facade, bronze doors cast in Constantinople and the Cloister of Paradise, rises above the main square.
