Why Go

Laid out in the 1650s, this is still one of India's busiest markets. Lanes run off it for silver, wedding cards, sweets and paper, and Khari Baoli at the west end is Asia's biggest spice market.

Come hungry: parathas, jalebi and kebabs are the point of Old Delhi for many people. A cycle rickshaw is the best way through the side lanes.
