Sørvágsvatn

Why Go

The lake on Vágar ends just short of the sea, at cliffs where it pours out over the Bøsdalafossur waterfall. From the Trælanípa cliff beside it, a trick of perspective makes the lake look as if it hangs hundreds of meters above the waves. The walk there, across sheep pasture, takes about an hour each way.
