Why Go
The village grew rich on salt, and its houses cling to the narrow shore below the mountain. The famous view is from the north end, where the Lutheran church spire rises over the lake; the Marktplatz, with its fountain and painted façades, is the center.
Boats and swans glide on the lake, which is clear and very cold.
