Why Go

The château was finished in 1536, and from 1906 the Carvallo family re-created its gardens on three levels: a water garden, ornamental gardens of clipped box shaped into symbols of love, and a vast potager where cabbages, leeks and flowers are planted in colored patterns that change with the seasons.

Tips

  • Climb the keep for the view down onto the patterns of the gardens.
