Why Go

Francis I invited Leonardo to Amboise in 1516 and gave him this brick-and-stone manor, 500 meters from the royal château. His bedroom, workshop and kitchen are furnished as in his time, and the gardens hold large working models of his machines, from a tank to a swing bridge, that children can try.
