Why Go
The tradition began in the 1930s as a prank by the hotel's manager. Today a Duckmaster leads the five mallards down from their rooftop palace by elevator to a Sousa march. It's been said that the Mississippi Delta begins in the Peabody's lobby.
Tips
- Arrive 30 minutes early for a spot along the carpet, and stay for a drink in the lobby bar.
