Why Go
Stax Records, in a former movie theater in the Soulsville neighborhood, made some of the greatest soul music of the 1960s and 70s with Black and white musicians working side by side. The museum, rebuilt on the site, starts with a whole country church brought from Mississippi to show gospel's roots.
