Why Go

Rebuilt within a few decades after a fire in 1194, the cathedral kept most of its original windows, glowing with the deep 'Chartres blue', and three great rose windows. A labyrinth is laid into the floor of the nave, and two unmatched spires, one Romanesque and one late Gothic, rise over the wheat plain of the Beauce.
