Why Go

Opened in 2017, this museum two blocks from Independence Hall covers the whole Revolution, not just the founders: soldiers, women, enslaved and free Black Americans, and Native nations. The highlight is Washington's headquarters tent, used throughout the war and revealed behind a screen after a short film.
