Why Go

Emperor Charles IV founded the castle in 1348 to keep the imperial regalia and holy relics. Guided tours show the imperial palace and, on a separate tour, the Chapel of the Holy Cross, its walls set with semi-precious stones and lined with panel paintings by Master Theodoric.
