Why Go

The museum follows Latvians through deportations to Siberia, the Holocaust, the war and decades of Soviet rule, to the Baltic Way and independence, with letters, photographs and a reconstructed Gulag barrack.

Its second site, the Corner House on Brīvības iela, was the KGB's headquarters; tours visit the cells and the basement where prisoners were held.
