Getting There
The funicular leaves from the west end of Ondarreta Beach, a 30-minute walk or a bus ride from the center.

Why Go

The funicular has climbed the cliff from Ondarreta Beach since 1912. At the top, an old-fashioned amusement park has a little roller coaster from the 1920s that runs along the edge of the cliff, and the terrace looks down on La Concha, the island and the city.

Tips

  • Go up for sunset, when the lights come on around the bay.
