One block east of the Plaza.

Why Go

Archbishop Jean-Baptiste Lamy, the model for Willa Cather's 'Death Comes for the Archbishop', built the cathedral between 1869 and 1886 in a French style that stands out among Santa Fe's adobe. A side chapel holds La Conquistadora, a statue brought from Mexico in 1625.
